FALL GETAWAYS · THANKSGIVING TRAVEL · CARE AT HOME

You pack the suitcase. They keep their favorite spot on the couch.

The leaves are turning, someone in the family is asking about Thanksgiving, and that long weekend away is starting to sound pretty good. Then you look down at the dog beside your chair. Or the cat who has very specific opinions about dinner.

Who will care for them while you’re gone?

Since 2013, we’ve helped Northwest Arkansas families answer that question. This fall, we’re welcoming more families in Bentonville, Rogers, and Bella Vista, along with nearby Benton County communities. If you’re exploring holiday pet sitting for the first time, here’s what care at home can look like—and how our team helps make it dependable.

The little routines are the big things

Imagine a dog who loves people but has no interest in sharing space with unfamiliar dogs. A cat who greets visitors from the top of the stairs and needs a little time before coming closer. Or a senior pet whose ideal evening is dinner, a gentle outing, and the same comfortable bed.

Those are examples of households where we would talk about keeping care at home. Your pets can keep their familiar surroundings while we build visits around their needs. There’s no requirement to enjoy group play or adapt to another household’s animals.

We want the details: which bowl belongs to whom, how meals are prepared, where the leash lives, what a comfortable potty break looks like, and whether affection means a game of fetch or simply sitting nearby.

For some animals, boarding is a good fit. For others, an individual routine at home makes more sense. We’ll talk honestly about the amount of company and supervision your pets need before recommending a plan.

Familiar bowls. Favorite beds. A person who knows the routine.

That’s the experience we’re working to preserve while you enjoy your time away.

Drop-in visits or overnight care?

Pet-sitting visits bring a caregiver to your home at agreed times for meals, fresh water, potty breaks, litter care, and attention. We offer 20-, 30-, and 60-minute visits. We’ll help you choose the frequency and length around your pets, your departure and return times, and the time they can comfortably spend between visits.

For example, a household might arrange morning, midday, and evening visits for its dogs. A cat household may need a different rhythm, with enough time for feeding, litter, and a little company. These are starting points for a conversation, not one schedule for every animal.

Overnight care means a sitter stays in your home for a scheduled 10-hour overnight period. Daytime visits can be added to complete the plan. An overnight booking does not mean someone is present around the clock, so we’ll make the coverage and gaps clear before you leave.

You can explore our pet-care services, then tell us what your household needs. Holiday overnight spaces are limited, so those are especially worth requesting early.

A primary caregiver, supported by a team

If you’ve ever had care fall through just before a trip, you know how quickly excitement can turn into a scramble. Illness, car trouble, and family emergencies happen to good caregivers, too.

At Solgave, we assign a primary sitter and aim for continuity throughout your trip. Behind that person is a team with shared care information and management support. If a change becomes necessary, we can coordinate coverage instead of leaving you to start the search alone.

That preparation matters. Your pets’ food instructions, routines, access arrangements, and important care details are recorded in Time to Pet. Our internal team conversations help caregivers ask questions and share the small observations that make a visit go smoothly. We arrange introductions or shadow visits when the household’s needs call for them.

No team can promise that life will never interrupt a plan. What we can do is prepare, communicate, and take responsibility for working through it. You can meet the people behind Solgave before we begin.

You stay connected while you’re away

There’s a different feeling to sitting down with family when you’ve just seen a photo of your dog enjoying a visit.

Through Time to Pet, you receive photographs, personal updates, and visit reports. Our team uses timed visits and GPS check-ins, while management can review the schedule and follow up on overdue visits. The technology supports the people doing the care—and gives us a shared place to keep track of the work.

The update should tell you something useful

How did dinner go? Did everyone get outside? Was your shy cat willing to come say hello? We want you to understand how your pets are doing, as well as know that we visited.

Before your trip, we’ll also confirm home access, emergency contacts, and any details you want us to know about your home’s security setup. A clear plan helps both your household and your caregiver feel comfortable.

Let’s plan your holiday care

Whether you’re headed out for an October weekend or making Thanksgiving plans, now is a good time to start the conversation. We’re building our Benton County schedule while continuing to care for our Fayetteville-area families.

Send us your neighborhood, travel dates, pets, and the kind of help you’re considering. We’ll confirm coverage, availability, pricing, and any location-related surcharge before you commit. Last-minute requests are welcome, too; we’ll tell you what we can accommodate.

Northwest Arkansas has thoughtful pet-care professionals to choose from. We appreciate the chance to show you how our approach might fit your family.

Care. Compassion. Consistency.
