What’s on My Mind Facebook Asks? Authenticity…

What’s on my mind Facebook asks?
The power of authenticity. I think it’s safe to assume I have some friends (many) and some family (several) who think I share too much.

The only thing I can say about this is some people are put on earth to share, and some to quietly teach, others to build things, others to paint, others to sing, others to preach, others to dance, etc., etc.

The first half of my life was about living unauthentically. The amount of potential change that happens after a decision to match your real life, social life, inner thoughts, and outer actions is HUGE.

You may stumble, you may piss some off, you may be humbled…. but way more often than not you grow every day, you prune the dead branches of inauthentic living and with some time, a new season or two new leaves bloom. Brighter, stronger, and with more potency.

An authentic life is to me, our purpose. Authentic Jews, Christians, Muslims, agnostics, or atheists for that matter…authentic living with good intentions whether you believe in a God, or a certain faith or spiritual label to me matters not. What does matter and what I value (because I value in me today these things) is not hiding who I am.

Daring to show you can overcome, you can dream at 38 and perhaps by showing it in real time you might help one person. Sunniva and I get DM’d enough along the way to keep our train moving and realize part of our calling, inspiration for life is to help. We’ve been hurt, we’ve been alone, we’ve hung on…but we hung on. See the news clip in our Solgave FB page for what I mean by this in terms of how some quit hanging on.

I do believe every single one of us is here to rule a tiny portion of the universe. It’s yours. Only yours. Whether plumbing, being a father, mentor, friend…or a leader of a country, it’s all the same to me. We get to rule one tiny corner of this universe and make a difference.

I pray every morning to stay humble as I feel more excited and scared about life than every before. Sunniva and I are on the cusp of a really cool beginning to a dream…. creating your own brand, creating a real business, and hopefully showing Gabi and the next children to come that you can do anything by daring ourselves to do that. With hard work, honesty, compassion, we lay the groundwork for the next generation.

The tipping point generation as I see them…. it’s in our hands. Powerful concept, wickedly cool one in my eyes.

Authenticity. Quietly. Loudly. Softly. Matters not to me but I will gravitate to those that are and hunger for more of it in the world…just people with inner and outer aligning which is a catalyst for removing guilt/fear/shame/games/gossip/denial etc….. when everything you say is real, no tracks to clean up.

An easier, softer way to make a difference. That’s what is on my mind this Sunday morning…

  1. Great words as always Jared. Can’t wait to see where the both of you go/grow from here. “I do believe every single one of us is here to rule a tiny portion of the universe. It’s yours. Only yours. Whether plumbing, being a father, mentor, friend…or a leader of a country, it’s all the same to me. We get to rule one tiny corner of this universe and make a difference.”
